Using Utah Anthracite in Interior Design

A warm grey tone, Utah Anthracite is loved throughout residential, restaurant and bar designs. Be inspired on how this tone can be used throughout interior designs.

Create relaxing furniture.

Soft with an abundance of natural character, Utah Anthracite brings a warm grey tone to seating designs. Seen here on seating by Lounging Around, Utah Anthracite can provide a calming shade in designs.

Use as a base for bold tones.

In Yarwood HQ we chose Utah Anthracite for welcome seating in our reception area, paired with the crisp tone of Mustang Mustard. Cushions, piping or contrasting panels will enhance the beauty of Utah Anthracite.

Pair with other natural materials.

Wooden dining chairs are enhanced with these gorgeous seating pads upholstered in our Utah Anthracite.

Add contrasting detail.

If you have had the chance to visit the gorgeous scheme of Tattu Edinburgh, you will have seen the intricate detail that was added to both dining chairs and booth seating. One of our most elaborate leather embroidery projects to date, with over 60,000 stitches being used to create both the Koi fish and Chinese dragon detailing.

Deboss detailing.

Being an aniline leather, blind deboss detail is really showcased in designs. The natural tonality and character of Utah creates an impression, and the subtle debossing can also help to create striking seating. Tattu restaurant in Leeds embraced this method for dining chairs throughout the restaurant.

Pair with fabrics.

Bringing together a natural material like leather with uniform fabrics patterns. Not only in the home, but across hospitality design, these different textures can help to bring a relaxed feel to spaces.

Classic Deep Buttoning.

Keeping it simple when it comes to seating also allows other design elements to take centre stage. In this restaurant design, Utah Anthracite was chosen for bench seating, it was chosen for its raw finish which matched the industrial feel of the design.

Utah is loved as seating, but can also be used to upholster headboards and on wall panelling. Request your sample or see the rest of the Utah range.
