The Funky Monk

Luxury hotel group Ramside Estate is introducing new accommodation in Durham – The Funky Monk.

Made up of five serviced apartments, they are all named after the mythical monk ‘Brother John’. The lavish interiors, designed by SpaceID, consist of dark, luxurious spaces with a historic reference to the city’s history.

Having worked successfully with them before, Furniture Clinic North East were asked to supply the headboards, banquette seating and loose furniture. Yarwood Leather features on these throughout the apartments.

The headboard in ‘The Temple of Funk’ room is upholstered in Origin Rune with detailed piping in Origin Pyramid. Sumptuous fabrics are matched with this including a delightful Emma Shipley patterned velvet.

In the ‘The Friars Nook’ you will find curved, fixed seating across an immense bay window. Origin Colosseum features on the seat pads with a contrasting, rich green velvet.

Another impressive headboard can be found in ‘Brother John’s Boudoir’ upholstered in our ever favorite leather, Mustang Tan with deep buttoning and contemporary, gold hardware.

Brother John’s Boudoir also features cushions, bed throw trimming, a chaise longue and sofa’s in Mustang Tan.

Furniture Clinic North East certainly have an eye for detail when it comes to furniture.
