Hide Restaurant by These White Walls

Creating bespoke interiors for hospitality and residential projects, These White Walls are a luxury-led and concept driven studio. One of their first projects is Hide Restaurant in Mayfair, London.

Yarwood Leather’s Tribe distressed leather in Ecru features on seating throughout this impressive three-floor dining experience.

These White Walls created a distinct narrative for each of the three floors – Above, Ground and Below, in keeping with the vision of Chef Ollie Dabbous and Hedonism Wines of Mayfair, to create a complementary relationship between food and surroundings.

Light oak furnishings feature in ‘Above,’ Tribe Ecru complements the fresh look and the hand-casted plaster mural which was commissioned by artist Rachel Dein and features foraged flowers and leaves from the opposite Green Park.

On the main dining floor, ‘Ground’ the team at These White Walls designed a space to “envelop the senses”, informal and focusing around the wood-fired bakery. More oak furnishings feature on this floor, this time darker and with naturalistic curves, once again upholstered in Tribe Ecru. Diners can enjoy seasonal offerings from farmers and suppliers from around the UK.

Diners can also walk down the whimsical spiral staircase by Atmos Studio to ‘Below.’ A bespoke bar, made of burr wood filled with copper resin, was commissioned. ‘Below’ also features three private dining areas each with their own commissioned installations by female artists.

These White Walls wanted to champion materials and British makers just as Chef Dabbous champion British ingredients. On choosing Yarwood Leather’s Tribe Ecru, Founder of These White Walls Rose Murray said “we loved it because the range has a natural matte finish and quality feel to it that suited the organic earthiness of our scheme for Hide.”

The project goes so much further than being a space to dine, it creates conversations and invites guests to delve into the design, a true dining experience.
