The Testing Section provides details of the various tests we can undertake. In some
instances the tests are not performed onsite, but at an approved subcontract test
service that also has government approval.
These specialists are chosen only after audits and assessments by the Yarwood Testing
staff and are always accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS).
The lead time specified next to the test should be applied from the date of receipt
by us of the material(s) for testing, which will be confirmed by email acknowledgement.
The cost of your test includes a report for the test requested and return post of
the sample(s) sent for testing. A hard copy of the report will be sent by post and
a digital copy by email in Adobe PDF format. In some instances there may be delays
beyond our control, in these instances we will endeavour to keep you updated with
a revised delivery date at all times. Please see our Terms and Conditions of Service.
We also offer a premium service for express delivery, in these instances your samples
are sent to the front of the queue and this typically results in half the lead time.
With all tests there is a 48 hour conditioning period for the sample to remain in
our controlled atmosphere for the test to be consistent. Whilst we can expedite
this process, it is not recommended and the results will not stand up under intense
scrutiny if questioned. However, it can give you a quicker indication of a potential
problem. Our express service is charged at twice the regular price.
