Flex Endurance

Method: BS EN 5402: 2002 • Unit of Measure: # of Flexes

Flexing endurance measures the extent to which leather will wear and potentially crack when flexed. This test mimics the repeated flexing action experienced by leather as someone sits and alights from a piece of furniture. Samples can be tested to a certain number of flexes in accordance with a standard or tested until their pass or fail point. There are two different ways the test can be performed, the lower price is for a user specified number of flexes, with a simple report to tell you whether the sample has passed or failed. The investigative test is the more expensive test and we will determine the fail point of the sample and it comes with a more concise report.
