Kerosene Burner Test
Method: JAR/FAR 25.853
The Kerosene Burner Test is a composite test of the covering material for an aircraft
seat along with a foam sample. The composite is subjected to a prolonged blast from
the kerosene burner that gives this test its name.
This is one of the hardest flammability tests to pass and is usually only specified
when there is a recipe change or change of cover material.
